Chief Purpose Activist at ZeroNorth
Lora Jakobsen
Lora has played an integral role at ZeroNorth since its inception, defining and communicating the company’s mission to make global trade green. As part of the executive management team, Lora brings a wealth of marketing and business strategy expertise to shape ZeroNorth’s public narrative and drive strategic partnerships with industry and world leaders in maritime decarbonisation.
One such example is the strategic alliance between ZeroNorth and Energy LEAP to champion greater data standardisation for better, more granular optimisation. The draft proposal for a Vessel Emissions Reporting Standard (VERS 0.9) will enable ship owners, charterers, energy majors, association bodies and software vendors to report on emissions, comply with regulations and achieve greater decarbonisation impact.
Forging closer cross-industry collaborations, Lora has also facilitated partnerships for ZeroNorth with industry leaders in sustainability, such as the Global Maritime Forum, as well as establish ZeroNorth as a Mission Ambassador for the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping.
Lora is also the Director of Impact Today, a non-commercial industry working group created by ZeroNorth and other industry leaders focusing on data standardisations to help improve industry collaboration and drive emissions reductions.
