VP of Demand Generation at LeanData

Matt Lyman

With a background in acting and playwriting, it’s no wonder that Matt has spent his marketing career looking for creative ways to tell stories and solve problems in the B2B world.

His first decade was spent marketing to some of the world’s largest financial organizations, helping revenue teams land contracts with global top-ten banks. After, Matt moved to Chef Software – where he learned the immense value of community-building, as he helped launch products, build a revenue marketing team, and lead through complicated situations.

This is where he saw just how powerful an in-person user experience is as he was a core member of the ChefConf planning team. His revenue pragmatism in demand gen and his operations background have helped him build customer-centric marketing teams at LeanData, where Matt shapes product launches, successful outbound and inbound strategies, and more consistent approaches to event management.

Matt is a servant leader who believes in building trust and enabling his team to do their jobs well. To do so, he has effectively implemented and driven multiple agile methodologies to drive team efficiency, synergy, and growth. Matt is a die-hard Seahawks fan and lives in Seattle with his wife and two girls. He is also the co-founder of RIDE4ALL (ride4all.org) with his wife, a non-profit whose mission is to provide recreational activities for all abilities. In his off time, he serves on the board of his school district’s Special Needs PTA, and is active in promoting inclusive practices in schools.
